Prematurely vintage sneakers have become a sort of trend as of lately, and Nike is embracing the movement with the release of the Nike Dunk AC Vintage collection.  The collection includes the Nike Dunk in several colorways, all of which have been given a vintage feel through yellowed soles and distressed tongues. The uppers are primarily one color, blue, yellow, or red; with white being used as an accent over the Nike Swoosh, laces, and tongue.

Jordan Brand Play In These F Varsity Purple and University Blue

Jordan Brand is set to release two additions to the Play In These F set in strong Varsity Purple and University Blue colorways. We are also given an Air Max unit in the heel, proving these sneakers weren’t made just to look good. This first model is officially set in Varsity Purple/White, a color combination that really highlights the design of the shoe.Varsity purple dominates the mixed synthetic and patent leather upper, switching from a darker to a lighter hue on the outer most areas of the shoe.  The second pair takes a similar approach to to the colorway, with the only difference being university blue is traded for the varsity purple. Both pairs sport a white outsole as well as a white liner and white Jumpman logo.

Nike is continuing their dedication to the “free” runner with version 2 of the Nike Free 3.0.Comfort is always a factor in the minds of the Nike camp, and they achieve that goal with the superb Nike 3.0 outsole. Function is also matched by design with the sneaker. Not only is it one of lightest runners available, the Nike Free 2.0 utilizes a one piece mesh upper which helps with the shoes flexibility . PUMA Suede Classic Grey/Red/White

The 80′s have definitely made a full comeback and PUMA happens to agree by reissuing two classic models: the Suede Classic Mid and Dallas. Simple, yet elegant, these shoes feature red leather on the PUMA logo and grey suede uppers. The Classic Mid features the PUMA branding in gold while the Dallas uses silver foil.The inner lining also features the same red leather as the outside arch logo.  Clean white rubber outsoles complete the early 80′s look. .

The Nike Air Pegasus was definitely one of the more innovative runners of its time. Decades later the sneaker still holds weight as both the Nike Air Pegasus ’89 and the Nike Air Pegasus ’92.
For its most recent return the Nike Air Pegasus ’89 gets an interesting color blocking and materials update.  The sneaker also features tonal polka dot paneling on the nylon mesh underlay which gives the sneaker a very subtle yet fresh design.The shoe dons a White toe box and Black/Anthracite heel.

One of the Nike Air Griffey Max 2′s more anticipated color ways finally is available in the White/Neutral Grey-Team Orange model. Team Orange is hard to miss on this model and it overall makes the shoe a definite winner.White grain leather comprises most of the sneaker and Neutral Grey makes a perfect accent.  While these are set to release to select accounts on April 9th Eastbay has them available now.

Nike Blazer Mid – White/Purple

Nike has been taking a break from the standard Nike swoosh design on its classic Blazer, as we recently posted the grey / volt colorway in the shoe which used perforations instead, and today feature a similar design.  Other features include the aforementioned perforated swoosh, as well as white details including the shoe laces, tongue, and sole. The Vans 106 has an ever-growing fan base, and continues to release in some really nice designs. Shown here is a recently released version which sports a Port Royal colorway created from smooth canvas. Minimal dark blue contrasts are visible on the shoe lacing eyelets, leather lining, and sole ribbing. Finishing off the design are white shoe laces and a matching vulc sole. Nike Air Max Penny 1 – Summer 2011 Releases

A release month for the Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Wolf Grey” has recently been revealed, as has a second colorway scheduled to release this summer, which sports a darker Black/Dark Grey-White colorway. We’ve known about the “Wolf Grey” pair for quite a few months, ever since catalog scans of the sneakers first hit the web back in January. This is the first time we’ve seen the other pair though.
An exact date can’t be pinpointed at this time, but both of these new Nike Air Max Penny 1 colorups are scheduled to hit retailers in May 2011.

Niketown Denver Closing Down

It was the last to open and its the first to close.
Earlier today, Nike announced they will be closing the Niketown Denver location in the Denver Pavilions in mid May. Niketown Denver opened its doors in July 2009 and has since grown to be the most popular destination at the pavilion. Nike said it would be the last Niketown location they built and estimated it would generate $18 million to $19 million in annual sales. The reason behind the decision to close the $20 million, 30,000-square-foot storefront hasn’t been disclosed. It’s a sad day for sneaker heads in Denver. Via: Business Journal

Nike Air Griffey Max 1 (GS) – Black/White

The Nike Air Griffey Max II just hit the market in a White/Grey-Orange colorway, and later this month on the 26th we’ll see the Fresh Water pair hit retailers.Shown here in detail, thanks to photos provided by SneakerFiles, the shoes feature a black upper with strong, contrasting hits of white on the strap, Swoosh and midsole. In between now and then, Nike’s bringing the Air Griffey Max 1 back one last time in a new colorway for the kids . As mentioned, these are expected to release in kids sizes only. If you’re still in GS sizes watch for a release on April 16th.

Air Jordan 5 & Jordan CP3.IV “Jordan Tokyo23″

Jordan Brand has tapped XBS of Japanese hip-hip group Nitro Microphone Underground to join them on a collaboration celebrating Jordan Tokyo23. Jordan Tokyo23 is Jordan Brand’s new, still under construction website believed to be geared towards the Japanese market. The AJ5 also includes the Jordan Tokyo23 logo on the outer heel, while the CP3.For the collaboration, XBS and Jordan worked on the Air Jordan 5 and Chris Paul’s newest signature, the Jordan CP3.IV. Both sneakers feature yellow, grey, black and white in their own unique layouts with the Air Jordan 5 containing mostly yellow and the CP3.IV having a fair share of black and grey with minimal amounts of yellow. IV has its standard Jumpman branding. An exact release date isn’t available at this time, but rumors are suggesting a possible launch around the around the end of April or beginning of May. We’ll let you know as we find out more.

Nike Toki ND Nylon – Summit White&Obsidian

Back in March, we informed you that Nike Sportswear would be releasing a nylon-based Toki ND for Summer 2011. Since they’re introduction in 2009, the shoe has either contained leather, suede or canvas materials.It appears they’re starting to arrive at retailers overseas as one of the three colorways we previewed then has been spotted at Swizz retailer Shelta.  This is the first time the Toki has ever been constructed from nylon. This particular pair contains a tonal Obsidian upper constructed entirely from nylon with a Summit White vulcanized sole. This year NSW decided to lighten them up to help you beat the summer heat.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Space Jam” – May 2011 Quickstrike

The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” and the Nike SB Dunk collide in the Nike SB Dunk Low “Space Jam”. This is not one of the many customs we feature. What you are seeing is an official Nike SB product, slated to hit retailers next month in limited numbers. Mocking the material and color blocking of the “Space Jam” Air Jordan, the SB Dunk’s feature a black mesh and patent leather upper above a white midsole with a clear outsole. The Nike branding on the tongue tag and heeltag are accented in Royal Blue, completing the three-color color scheme of the “Space Jam’s”.
The Nike SB Dunk Low “Space Jam” is scheduled to release in May through select Nike SB accounts as a limited edition quickstrike. The pair seen here sold on eBay late last night for $114.

Nike Dunk Hi AC – Wolf Grey/Pine Green & Anthracite/Varsity Maize

Take the Dunk, slap a autoclave sole on it, and you’ve got the Nike Dunk Hi AC. This season, Nike Sportswear is releasing two canvas-based makeups of the Dunk Hi AC for you to add to your collection. One pair combines Wolf Grey with a darker shade of grey throughout the upper and includes accents of Pine Green on the Swoosh (leather), midsole stripe and laces. The other employs Anthracite and Black throughout the upper and is complimented with accents of Varsity Maize, also on the Swoosh, midsole stripe and laces. Both are available now through select retailers overseas, including JD Sports.

Supra Henry “Black Full Grain” – Royal Collection

Last month, Supra Footwear introduced the Royal Collection which is made up of limited edition styles of their most popular models. The collection launched with 5 releases ranging from the Skytop and Skytop II, to the Society and Pilot. This time around, Supra’s boot, the Henry, gets the premium Royal makeover. The rugged boots feature an ultra-thick, black full grain leather upper, a black canvas ankle collar, contrasting heavy gauge stitching and a blown rubber outsole. Designed for the courts and ready for the streets, the classic tennis-inspired Nike Racquette returns for Spring/Summer 2011. Featuring clean lines and a lightweight fit, the Racquette utilizes a rubber cupsole for added support and a rubber outsole for court gripping traction. Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Chaos” – Release Date

A release date for Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Chaos” has finally been confirmed. The Joker-inspired colorway of Kobe Bryant’s sixth signature sneaker with Nike Basketball is slated to hit retailers on April 9th, 2011, according to NikeVault, Nike’s flagship location based inside the Los Angeles Staples Center. It’s unclear whether the shoes will retail for $130 like most Zoom Kobe VI models or $150, which last months “Rice” edition was priced at. These will be a limited release just like those were, available only at select Nike retailers. As for competition on the shelves, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Chaos” will hit distributors on April 9th alongside the Jordan CMFT Viz Air 13 “Bred”, the Air Jordan 12 Low “Taxi” and the Jordan CMFT Max Air 12 “Candy Pack”.
