Nike 6.0 “DeLorean” Dunk -DMC Releases Now

Chalk up another limited release for Black Friday. Joining such releases as the Air Jordan 13 “Flint Grey”,Air Jordan 7 Premio “Bin 23″and the black version of the Foamposite Air Force 1, among many others, is this interesting collaboration between DeLorean Motor Company and Nike 6.0. Influenced by the DeLorean DMC-12, an extremely rare car from the early 80′s most notable for it’s appearance in Back to the Future, Nike 6.0 reinterpreted the car’s sleek stainless steel exterior onto a matte silver Dunk using a solid one-piece upper with cues from to the gullwing door on the bottom eyestay. The shoe’s outsole references the DeLorean’s tail lights in a three-way split of white, red and orange, and the DMC-12′s rear window shades reappear as graphic lines on the heel replacing the traditional stitching. Furthermore, the Belfast stamp on the tongue is a nod to the Irish factory that originally produced the DeLorean DMC-12 in ’81 and ’82.
As mentioned, these will be a Black Friday release and they’ll become available as a quickstrike through Nike.com, NikeTown locations and select Nike retailers, like Salvation in Irvin, California. More detailed photos of the DeLorean Nike 6.0 Dunks follow after the jump.
